Hello everyone…welcome to Xustralia! The hip-hop pop princess Rihanna has given us our next instalment in the ‘ANTI’ story as she has released the video for her new single “Kiss It Better”. I for one was over the moon that she chose to release this track as single as its definitely my favourite track on the album. The video focused entirely on Rihanna and showed her in numerous seductive, sexy ways. The video itself was shot entirely in black and white and this complimented the sexy nature greatly.
Rihanna has once again showed us the true meaning of ‘ANTI’: going against the usual conventions of the music industry in a bid to create art. This has been done since the release of the album as she followed in the footsteps of Beyoncé and released her album without warning and to the surprise of her fans.
I will be rating this video 2 out of 5 ‘ANTI’ crowns as although it was visually stunning, I did expect more of a story as the lyrics had the potential for Rihanna to create a truly unforgettable video.
